The perfect lead to help your dog during training sessions. We’ve all experienced mischievous dogs pulling or lunging on their daily walks, especially younger dogs. That’s where a slip lead comes into play. A slip lead loosens or tightens to help train your dog to walk beside you. It will tighten when your dog pulls against the lead and then release the tension when the dog relaxes. Not just for training. A slip lead is perfect for older dogs too. When they are a little slower, and enjoying walking in the countryside, this is a great and easy alternative to a collar and traditional lead.
Each slip lead has an adjustable leather stopper which is there to prevent the loop from opening too wide and slipping off the dog's head. The rope itself has an eye-catching twisted design that has been crafted using 100% soft cotton. It features stylish leather trims and subtle Rydale branding, as well as a strong and durable O-ring. Depending whether you have the dog on your left or right side, the leather tab should be under the dogs' chin, this way the lead should slacken when the dog isn't pulling - this is very important that the slip lead is on the correct way. If you are new to using the slip lead, then we recommend booking in for some dog training and they will be able to show you how to correctly use one as an aid to getting your dog to walk at heel.
