Whilst the man in your life, whether it’s a partner, brother, dad or friend, might be too old for a stocking, that doesn’t mean that small gifts are to be avoided. Some people would rather get a selection of smaller presents, rather than open one big gift. That means more gift wrapping for you, there’s nothing more special than watching someone open their presents and the joy on their face when they love it!
Here at Rydale, we love stocking filler gifts. Just because they don’t cost as much doesn’t mean they’re less on quality. Accessories are always the items that people often forget when it comes to an outfit especially so why not give them something to add something extra to their look?
We’ve rounded up our top ten stocking fillers, all of which are £25 or under. They are all small enough to fit in a regular sized stocking so don’t expect large items of clothing or footwear!
Socks
Adults love to receive socks as gifts, fact! It means we don’t have to buy them for ourselves during the year. When it comes to men’s socks, they’re often black or grey with zero pattern on them. We’re here to debunk that myth because our socks have characters of their own! From dogs to pheasants and ducks to hares, our country animals show off your personality. If animal print isn’t your thing, we’ve got argyle print, stripes and emblem socks for a classic look. We even offer many of them in pre-packaged gift box sets if you’re not a fan of wrapping! For the men who love to hike, our thermal socks will offer comfort and support on long (and short) treks whilst allowing their feet to breathe.
Hat
We’ve expanded our range of hats in recent years because we’ve tried to add in a mixture. Whilst our best-selling tweed flat caps are still popular, we’ve included flat caps made from moleskin and wax cotton as well as baseball caps, bush hats and baker boy hats too. If the man in your life would prefer a winter hat, how about a beanie? With a fleece style or thick knit version, both available in neutral colours, they will look cool and feel warm!
Tie
Pheasants, ducks or dogs? That’s the main choice you have to make when it comes to a Rydale tie. Pick their favourite and then decide on a colour. Claret, gold and olive are our three main shades as we’ve found they go with as many of our pieces as possible. They dress up a country checked shirt and add interest to a tweed suit. If you’re feeling extra generous, grab a pair of socks to match the tie!
Hip flask
Christmas can be a stressful time so why not give him a break with a leather hip flask? He can fill it with his favourite tipple and escape the madness for a few minutes. Encased in brown leather, it adds that extra touch and makes it suitable for gifting. It even comes in its own gift box so another gift that doesn’t need wrapping!
Gloves
With outdoor activities still happening no matter the weather or the temperature, a pair of fleece gloves are the perfect gift for someone outdoorsy. Coming in both navy and khaki and under £5 a pair, you might even treat them to both pairs! The elasticated cuffs keep the warmth in and they also have a handy clip so you can clip them together and pop them away in a pocket without fear of losing one!
Travel mug
Is there anything worse than making a hot drink, forgetting about it and then realising it’s gone cold? Whilst an insulated travel mug won’t keep your drink warm forever, it lasts much longer than a regular mug does! Many of us use ours on the way into the office instead of getting a takeaway coffee cup. Not only do our travel mugs look cool, you’re helping to save the environment too!
Wallet
What man doesn’t love a new wallet? Think about how many debit/credit cards, store cards and loyalty cards we all have nowadays and you’ll soon realise that you need a bigger wallet (and might want to get rid of the cards you don’t really use). Depending on how many cards he has will determine which wallet to get. Our bi-fold wallet still has plenty of card space but if they have more than the average person, our tri-fold version might be more suitable with a press stud closure and extra pockets.
Water bottle
A stainless steel water bottle is perfect for travelling and outdoor activities. Many places will fill it up for free now so you don’t have to worry about running out of water! It has been designed for wear and tear as we know when putting in the outer pockets of a backpack, they are prone to being bashed around. The leather carry loop is perfect for shorter walks but can be removed if going inside a bag.
Belt
A particularly difficult item to find nowadays is a belt. It’s the one item that we don’t replace until it’s on its very last legs but then seem to struggle to find one in the shops. Our belts come in multiple bright colours to add some interest to any outfit. Pick your favourite colour combination and he will love it. For formalwear, a classic leather belt will be more suitable. Ours come in tan and brown so are suitable for any event or office job.

This might not seem like a great gift but it’s important to take care of your leather and suede footwear and waterproof jackets properly. From jacket waterproof cleaners to leather footwear conditioner, you could even create a mini hamper of a few items to keep them going for a while.
