We’re very excited to welcome The Tour De Yorkshire into our home town of Driffield, and across the Yorkshire region! The event sets off just down the road from us in Bridlington; the home of fish and chips and 2p machines! Later finishing back on the coast in sunny Scarborough (AKA Scarbados).
Yellow bikes have appeared all over the place on roadsides. Blue and yellow flags galore and even the occasional yellow sheep! The local townsfolk seem to come out from their winter blues and more and more bicycles are seen on the country roads. The Tour De Yorkshire is not only a great event for bringing people together, but also to inspire health, wellbeing, and a true appreciation of our beautiful surroundings.
Stage 2 sees the race leave East Yorkshire and head into the North. Making its way through towns and villages, such as Malton and Ripon, both homes to Rydale stockist stores. Finally seeing the day end in the picturesque town of Harrogate.
Stage 3 brings the final and longest day. Setting off from Bradford and finishing all the way in Fox Valley, Sheffield. That’s three days of fast paced racing!
The Tour De Yorkshire is a great trip out for the whole family! Be sure to pack a picnic, pick a spot and admire the views. For more information visit > http://letour.yorkshire.com/stage-1/map
