Countryside Style

Often, when women think of countryside style, they think it’s full of dark colours and dull patterns. It’s that perfect blend between comfort and style, cosy and trendy, and smart and casual. 

Every lady should have a few essentials to really nail the countryside style trend for years to come. A fitted, collared shirt is a must but you can switch it up between seasons. A long-sleeved style will look perfect in autumn and winter, under a tweed blazer or a cable knit jumper. During the summer, change it to a sleeveless style in a gorgeous pastel colour or a crisp white. For a more casual take, polo shirts and rugby shirts are standout pieces with dark wash jeans and sneakers or boots. Whether it’s a striped design, a bold sash pattern or a solid block colour, it’s a lovely basic to have for school runs, running errands around town and chilled nights at home or at the pub. 

It wouldn’t be countryside style without a tweed item in your wardrobe. A jacket is probably the most versatile tweed item to have but you could go for a blazer or looser fit of zip up. For a feminine look, a tweed skirt with thick tights is a lovely dressed up, night time or office look. You could even make a three piece suit for formal occasions by adding a waistcoat too.

Don’t forget your accessories too. Ladies always have a gorgeous bag on their arm for every occasion and there’s a hat for every lady too. Your shoes can complete an outfit so choose from loafers, Chelsea boots and canvas sneakers for casual events.
