Day To Night Outfits

When you have plans after work but you don’t have the time to go back home, you might need to take a couple of extra items with you. Whilst you can change your entire outfit, you don’t need to if you’re already wearing the right outfit! It can be as simple as a change of shoes or coat to switch it up. Here’s a selection of pieces for your day-to-night outfits. 

The first item that can really change up your look is your footwear. During the day, you might opt for a pair of wellies, especially if you work outside. Whilst practical, they’re not exactly dressy and often aren’t very clean! For a nighttime outfit, you can still be cosy but instead, choose a pair of lace-up ankle boots instead. They’re just as grippy a tread but acceptable to wear to a night at the pub or a friend’s house. 

Next, your coat or jacket can take your outfit from casual to smart in an instant. Casual styles include puffer or insulated jackets, especially when worn with jeans and wellies. They’ll keep you warm but aren’t very dressy. For smart-casual events like attending a graduation as a guest, switch it for a tweed or wax jacket. It will still keep you warm but adds that classy touch to your outfit.

You can always add an extra layer with knitwear or a sweatshirt. Again, sweatshirts are pretty casual for lounging around at home or running weekly errands, whereas knitwear can be dressed up and down. Add a collared shirt underneath for a dressier look.

If you’re changing when out and about, a utility changing robe might be an item that you need (and it makes a lovely gift). It’s completely waterproof with a fleece lining, so can even be worn as a coat. It’s perfect for horse riding, too!
