Men's Casual Outfits

As a country gentleman, you know that casual doesn’t have to mean loungewear. It can still be comfortable and put together; you don’t have to sacrifice one or the other. Our men’s casual outfit staples can be mixed and matched with each other for smart-casual and sometimes dressier occasions. 

A standard block-coloured polo shirt should be in every man’s wardrobe, preferably in a handful of different colours. A black and grey polo shirt will go with every colour of trousers, but you can also add a pop of colour with muted khaki or vibrant red. This can be the star piece of your casual outfit, especially when paired with dark wash jeans and casual footwear. 

If it’s wintertime, you might prefer a long-sleeved rugby shirt instead. Here, you can really go for some colour and pattern, with stripes and quartered shirts featuring heavily in our men’s casual outfits collection. Whereas polo shirts are fitted, an oversized rugby shirt is one of the most casual tops you can wear. However, it still looks smart with neutral chinos and loafers or brogues. 

When the temperature drops but it’s not cold enough for a jacket, a padded gilet is the perfect in-between outerwear option. It will look great over a polo shirt or rugby shirt for cooler evenings outside, such as in a pub beer garden or a family barbecue. 

If it’s colder outside, a bomber jacket is the best jacket to throw on over any men’s casual outfits. There are plenty of pockets to hold everything you’ll need, and the foldaway hood is perfect for unexpected British downpours.
